Condition based Maintenance (CbM) System developed by CONSYST launched at BPCL Kochi Refinery by Executive Director, Mr Sanjay Khanna

Kochi: CONSYST collaborates with BPCL to implement Condition based Maintenance Management System on Electric Assets strengthening the companies’ digitalization strategy foundation and drive forward its quest for Oil & Gas 4.0. The project’s goal is to ensure efficient maintenance of motors, enable enhanced and informed decision making, as well as to reduce downtime and maintenance overheads.

CONSYST completed the first phase of this project covering 1,800 motors after being awarded the contract in June 2021, using the state-of-the-art IIoTNext Platform.

BPCL Kochi Refinery, located at Ambalamugal, near Kochi in Kerala, is one of the three Refineries of BPCL, presently having a crude oil refining capacity of 15.5 million Metric Tones per Annum (MMTPA). The product portfolio of the Kochi Refinery today includes petrochemical feedstocks and specialty products in addition to its range of quality fuels.

The project, officially launched by Mr. Sanjay Khanna, Executive Director at BPCL-KR is an example for strategic initiatives of the Government of India like ‘Make in India’ and Atma Nirbhar Bharat.
