About the Role  

We are looking for a technically strong Solution Architect to lead Control & Instrumentation estimation and solution development for industrial projects. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience across the project lifecycle — from field instrumentation and engineering documentation to bid preparation and customer engagement. 

Responsibilities 

• Develop optimum C&I solutions in response to customer RFQs and tender documents. 

• Prepare BOQs, instrument index, and cost estimates for C&I projects. 

• Design system architecture covering field instrument selection, control system configuration, and BOM preparation using relevant tools. 

• Conduct technical assessments to analyze customer process requirements, constraints, and applicable standards. 

• Review P&IDs, preliminary data, specifications, and deliverable lists to define scope and estimate contents. 

• Conduct site visits and attend pre-bid meetings; resolve technical queries during the tendering/Bidding process. 

• Coordinate with instrument OEMs, control system vendors, and subcontractors for pricing; evaluate and compare proposals. 

• Prepare and review C&I engineering documents including datasheets, hook-up drawings, loop diagrams, cable schedules, and cause & effect matrices. 

• Provide timely technical inputs and estimations to the sales team to support bid closure. 

• Deliver technical clarifications and documentation support to customers through the bid phase. 

Requirements 

• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation & Control, Electronics & Instrumentation, or a relevant engineering discipline. 

• 4+ years of experience in any combination of C&I estimation, engineering design, or instrument erection and commissioning for industrial projects. 

• Hands-on experience with field instrumentation — pressure, flow, level, temperature, and analytical instruments, including selection, sizing, and datasheet preparation. 

• Working knowledge of control systems — DCS, PLC, RTU, and SCADA platforms. 

• Proficiency in C&I engineering documentation — P&ID interpretation, Instrument Index, Datasheets, Hook-up Drawings, Loop Diagrams, Cable Schedules, and Cause & Effect Charts. 

• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols — HART, Modbus RTU/TCP-IP, Profibus/Profinet, and Foundation Fieldbus. 

• Understanding of communication networks — Ethernet, Fiber Optics, RS-232/485. 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate and position multi-vendor solutions. 

• Effective communication and collaboration skills in a cross-functional, customer-facing environment. 

• Experience in installation of Field instruments.
