Junior Automation Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), HMI (Human Machine Interface), and SCADA systems.
• Integrate automation systems with existing machinery and equipment.
• Develop and maintain control strategies for production and process optimization.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including production, maintenance, and quality to support operational efficiency.
• Ensure all automation solutions comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Analyze production data to identify automation opportunities and implement improvements.
• Perform system testing, validation, and documentation.
• Provide training and technical support to operators and maintenance personnel.
• Manage projects, including timelines, budgets, and coordination with vendors or contractors.
• Maintain and update electrical and control system schematics and documentation.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or related field.

Experience:

• 2–5 years of experience in industrial automation or a similar role.
• Hands-on experience with PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, Mitsubishi).
• Experience with SCADA, HMI design, and industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP).
• Familiarity with servo drives, VFDs, sensors, and actuators.
• Experience in the manufacturing, process, or utilities industries preferred.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and P&IDs.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of safety systems, industrial networking, and instrumentation.
