Position: Ass. Manager – Automation & Digitization

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive professional to lead a team of engineers delivering high-quality Industrial Automation and Digitization solutions. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise, leadership skills, and project management experience to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of PLC, SCADA, HMI, and IIoT solutions across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Management:

• Lead and mentor a team of automation engineers, guiding them in PLC, SCADA/HMI, and IIoT development.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning by conducting workshops, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Drive team building of high-performing team through hiring, onboarding, and nurturing talent.
• Develop structured training modules, conduct training sessions, and continuously uplift the team’s technical and functional capabilities.

Project:

• Plan, allocate, and monitor project tasks to ensure timely and quality delivery.
• Review technical designs, control narratives, logic specifications, and development standards to ensure adherence to best practices.
• Track project timelines and milestones, proactively addressing risks or delays.

Technical Development & Oversight:

• Oversee design, development, and testing of PLC programs, SCADA/HMI applications, and IIoT solutions across multiple projects.
• Provide technical guidance and support for complex automation challenges.
• Ensure robust in-house testing, simulation, and validation before site commissioning
• Monitor code quality, performance, security, and maintainability across all projects

Technical Documentation:

• Ensure comprehensive technical documentation for all projects, including functional specifications, test protocols, and as-built documentation.
• Develop and enforce standard operating procedures, coding standards, and best practices across the automation team.

Qualifications:

Education:

• B.Tech/BE in Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechatronics or Electronics

Experience:

• 7+ years in industrial automation with extensive experience in PLC, SCADA/HMI development, and commissioning of industrial control systems.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams and managing automation projects end-to-end.

Skills:

• Proficient in programming, configuration, and troubleshooting of PLC, SCADA, and HMIs from various OEMs (preferably SIEMENS, Schneider Electric, Rockwell, ABB, Phoenix Contact, AVEVA, Exor).
• Skilled in programming languages such as STL, FBD, Ladder, and scripting languages.
• Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols including Modbus RTU/TCP, Ethernet IP, PROFINET, OPC, etc.
• Good understanding of control system architecture, P&ID diagrams, FDS, control drawings, single-line diagrams, and panel drawings.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Ability to take on responsibilities and demonstrate leadership qualities.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to deliver high-quality solutions under tight deadlines.
